My daughter grew up in Sydney, enjoying its beaches and parks. In summer we often swam at a harbour side pool and would wash the sand from out feet at the end of the day. It was fun struggling with our towels and waiting our turn while watching little children trying to manage their dangling limbs under the tap. Now my daughter lives in the Northern Hemisphere and her Christmas is spent shovelling snow off her pavement. This drawing was my Christmas gift to her. It is a pastel (Sennelier).
