Soap

Drawn with an oil based pastel (Sennelier). These pastels are very different to chalky pastels. They are a little like a crayon and are much more resistant to move across the paper. This begun as an exercise and as it took shape, the similarity to the real soap (Pears) astounded me. The shine of the oil pastel simulated the translucid appearance of the soap. I plan to revisit this theme.
