Proctor’s transfer lithograph, entitled “Self Portrait”, printed in brown on cream/gray wove paper is held by the Art Gallery NSW. It can be viewed above and here. I wish to express my appreciation to Art Gallery NSW for making the drawing accessible and to Deborah Jones of the Study Room for her generous assistance and advice.
My drawing is on white paper (Artistico Fabriano) using Conte’ a Paris pastel 0-32 and a Generals Pastel 958 for highlights.
Lambert’s drawing of Thea Proctor (see above in Portfolio) was done in 1905. Proctor’s self portrait was completed in 1921. It is fascinating to compare the two. Here is a woman in a different space and time.
